Record Comments:  This record is the first in the Story Teller series on the Disneyland label.  It is also one of the only records to feature the voice of Walt Disney.  The contents of this record are the same as WDL-4004, Walt Disney Takes You To Disneyland, but with shorter track versions and additional narration by Cliff Edwards as Jiminy Cricket. 

This record was also issued without the circle-art border and a similar illustrated scene of Walt and Jiminy at the Disneyland train station.  The variation record includes the same catalog number and was issued in both 12" 33 1/3 RPM and a two-disc 45 RPM version.

Subject Notes:  Disneyland first opened in Anaheim, California, on July 17, 1955. A second Disneyland (referred to as Magic Kingdom) was opened near Orlando, Florida, on October 1, 1971.

Additional Disneyland parks were later opened in Tokyo, Japan on April 15, 1983, in Paris, France on April 12, 1992, in Hong Kong on September 12, 2005 and in Shanghai, China on June 16, 2016.
