Record Comments:  This record includes the title track from "The Scarecrow Of Romney Marsh."  Side two includes a song featured in "Trick Or Treat," but is an alternate version sung by Karen & Cubby from "The Mickey Mouse Club."  The matrix markings also include crossed out numbers X-1313 / X-1314.  This record was issued in 78 RPM and 45 RPM formats.  The 45 RPM version was issued with and without a 29 cent pre-priced marking inside the castle logo.


Subject Notes:  "The Scarecrow Of Romney Marsh" is a three-part television show that originally aired on Walt Disney's "Wonderful World Of Color" on February 9, 16 and 23 of 1964.  A theatrical version, edited from the three television episodes, was seen first in England in a widescreen format, under the title "Dr. Syn, Alias The Scarecrow."  Later in 1975, it was seen theatrically in the United States on a double-bill with a re-release of "Treasure Island."  "Trick Or Treat" is a Disney animated short that was first released in October of 1952, with a running time of approximately 8 minutes.
