This promotional,
novelty record includes vocals by the comedy duo Homer and
Jethro with their parody of "The Ballad of Davy
Crocket." Side two includes a non-Disney track.
A standard issue was also released. Homer and Jethro were the stage names of American country music duo Henry D. "Homer" Haynes and Kenneth C.
"Jethro" Burns, popular from the 1940s through the 1960s on radio and television for their satirical versions of popular songs.
They received a Grammy in 1959 for Best Comedy Performance with
their album "The Battle of Kookamonga." They
were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.

Crockett first aired in 1954 as live-action episodes of Disneyland (later known as
The Wonderful World
Of Disney.) The show's popularity spawned two
theatrical releases in 1955 and 1956 that were created from
combining the existing television episodes. A new series
aired in the 1988-89 season that featured an all-new
cast.
