Record Comments:  The sleeve for this record is made from cardboard with the opening at the top.  It contains side flaps on the front that are not seen in the artwork pictured. 

Side one features Thurl Ravenscroft (uncredited) as Mike Fink in the opening of King Of The River, followed by Fess Parker as Davy Crockett in the remainder of the song.  Side two only includes Fess Parker.   Both songs are backed by The Norman Luboff Orchestra and Choir.

Subject Notes:  Davy Crockett first aired in 1954 as live-action episodes of Disneyland (later known as The Wonderful World Of Disney.)  The show's popularity spawned two theatrical releases in 1955 and 1956 that were created from combining the existing television episodes.  A new series aired in the 1988-89 season that featured an all-new cast.
