Record Comments:  This record includes music from two People and Places documentary shorts. Some tracks include multiple titles, with a mixture of vocals and instrumentals.

The record cover appears to have two front covers, with an inner sleeve containing the traditional back-cover contents.  However, the codes below the track listings on the record labels suggest that Samoa is side one, composed and conducted by Oliver G. Wallace. Switzerland was composed and conducted by Paul J. Smith.

Subject Notes:  People and Places is a series of 17 travelogue documentary shorts, released theatrically from 1953 to 1960.  Three of the featurettes, The Alaskan Eskimo, Men Against The Artic and Ama Girls, won Academy Awards.  Samoa was released on December 25, 1956 and Switzerland was released on June 16, 1955.
