Record Comments: This 6 x 6
inch, thick cardboard greeting card includes a friendship message that can
be read and listened to. In order to play the flexi-disc record that
is attached to the inside of the card, it requires that the center hole be
punched out and for the card to be separated on the perforated, folding
edge. The
card was produced by American Telecard, Inc. for Buzza Cardozo of Anaheim,
California. The
record was made by Columbia Record Productions and includes a short
message with dialog from Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Jiminy Cricket.
The story on
this record starts with Jiminy Cricket explaining that the folks at Disney
Studios have asked him to produce this talking greeting card that would
send a message of friendship from the person that sent the card and from
all of us at Disneyland. Jiminy introduces Mickey Mouse and Donald
Duck who explain that they are here to entertain the recipient of the
greeting card. Mickey Mouse starts by doing impressions of famous
stars of Disneyland that includes Goofy and, much to his Donald's dislike, Donald
Duck. Up next is the real Donald Duck who recites Shakespeare.
The recording closes with Jiminy Cricket saying that they all think the recipient of the greeting
card is grand and they send their very best wishes.
