Record
Comments: This record was originally issued
as part of the Magic Mirror series in 1962 with catalog number ST-3917.
The first issue includes ads for eight other Disney records on the
back and an attached booklet inside with 11 unnumbered pages
that contain color photos and text to follow along with the narration and songs on the
record.
In 1967, the Magic Mirror cover was reissued with a different back featuring images of the storybook pages.
The front cover of the second release is nearly identical, with
the exception of the Disneyland Record logo that had the "High
Fidelity" text removed. However, the "High
Fidelity" logo is still on the back. In 1969 and 1980, the same audio contents were released on catalog number
3917, dropping the ST prefix on most issues. The cover for
these records do not include the die-cut "Magic
Mirror" and feature Lady and Tramp sitting in front of a full moon, with their pals Trusty
on their left and Jock on their right. The inside booklet
of the 1969 issue is nearly identical to previous issues, with
the exception of the artwork on the inside cover. The 1980
issue includes a booklet with the artwork from previous issues
rearranged to include more text that follows the narration on
the record with character cues. The cover artwork includes
a banner in the top left corner that refers to this as a
"Read-Along Book." Both of these issues have
inside record pockets. In 2015, the Magic Mirror edition was re-issued as part of Walt
Disney Records' Vinyl Vault Collection. The audio on this
version is trimmed down by about 2 1/2 minutes from the previous
releases. Sealed copies include a 2 1/2" square
Vinyl Vault Collection sticker that reads "For the first
time in 50 Years..." Matrix
